JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivering direct care to and providing a therapeutic environment for the residents of the facility under the supervision of the Licensed Nursing Staff, in accordance with established facility policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: High School or GED diploma, as well as an active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in New York State.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a nursing home facility with knowledge of gerontological problems and awareness of Federal and State regulations relative to resident rights issues and long-term or acute care.
- The ability to relate to long-term care/sub-acute rehabilitation individual’s needs.
- Good communication skills; must understand English; written, oral and listening.
- Must be able to observe and demonstrate proper safety and sanitary techniques.
- Must be a team player, able to work independently, and with a wide variety of individuals.
- Maintains a responsible and positive attitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
Must be able to work 7am-3pm or 11pm-7am
Must be fully vaccinated.
